What's Happening...

Tonight, right now as I type this, people are trickling into the Grand Hall for a night of "living beyond themselves." Tonight is the final night of our Pray LaRGe (local, regional, global) series here at NMC. It's been a pretty amazing four weeks and today is like the icing on the cake.

Earlier this morning, Francisco & Rosa Ramirez (partners in Juarez, Mexico) joined us in our services. Francisco shared his passion with us of reaching out to the lost & challenged each of us to consider how we might join with God and make a difference around the world.

Prior to Francisco sharing, we had the "parade of flags", which consists of various members of the church body carrying in the different flags where NMC is partnered in some way. There were 37 flags total that came parading through the sanctuary...each one representing an incredible God-sized story. God is on the move & His people are moving with Him! By far, the coolest moment was the addition of the 37th flag, Turkey, where a young woman (Amanda Wong) is preparing to go & reach the unreached! As the flag was handed off to her, there was a moment where she simply stopped in front of it and stared. What's cool is seeing God grab ahold of someone's heart who is passionately seeking after Him & then seeing them step out in obedience to go when He called.

Tonight, the Grand Hall is filled with ways to "Pray Around the World." There's a giant-sized map in the center of the room for people to walk out on and write their prayers for the nations! There are 5 displays set up with the same concept in mind with a spot for people to write out prayers. Four displays consist of NMC's 4 major global partners: Juarez, India, El Sembrador, & Kenya Baby Center. The fifth display is simply titled "future partners." God's not done using us to partner with brothers and sisters around the world. This is only the beginning!

This should be an incredible night! More to come...
