To make my list of 9 more complete...this was another cool moment from the Night of Prayer for me, that is worthy of a post of it's own.
As I was praying over the map, I was drawn to the country of Peru. My very first overseas mission experience took place in Peru, in the small town of Huallanca, 12,000 feet up in the Andes Mountains. As a graduating high school senior, I went with the Student Ministries Impact Team for what would be the experience of a lifetime. It was on this trip that I first felt a pull toward overseas missions. While praying, I recounted all that I had seen God do during our time there. I pictured the bull fighting arena we had traveled to and prayed over, claiming it for Christ. I remembered an "I SEE" statement myself and several others had written out during our debriefing saying, "I SEE the arena being filled with God's Spirit and used as a place for believers to gather and praise His name saying 'God is so good.'" As I prayed and remembered all that God had done, I began to pray for all that I believed God would still do there. As I sat there, I heard a song playing in the background of the Grand Hall that simply said...
"Greater things have yet to come, and greater things are still to be done in this city."
That's my prayer for Huallanca. That's my prayer for the nations.
