Naranjal Evening Church Service - Nathan Blucker sharing testimony. |
There are many stories we could tell from conversations students have had with kids at VBS, from door-to-door ministry and experiencing firsthand the brokenness that Jesus can bring, to dancing and sweating with brothers & sisters in Christ for an hour following a church service! Students have experienced a TON and are not just seeing but are being CHANGED by their experiences here. Keep praying as they process through all that is happening both around them & in them!
A quick highlight from last night's service at Naranjal, as our students shared testimonies, a message, a drama, & songs, everything was translated from English to Spanish and then from Spanish to Creole. Just another incredible picture of how awesome God is and what a blessing it is to be able to worship God together in 3 different languages!!!
Today we begin Day 3 of VBS and each group is heading to a new site. Be praying for students as they transition and begin to "start over" with new kids. Pray that their hearts will be encouraged and their spirit refreshed and energized. The heat and long days are taking their toll on our physical bodies, so continue to pray for physical health and strength as well! And finally, our next two nights have evening church services that we'll be taking part in, making the days even longer. But we're so excited for how God has been stirring in those times, so pray that we will be faithful to give our very best and push through the fatigue. Pray for an outpouring of God's spirit in Hoya Grande (where we'll have church tonight) and Guanabano (where we'll have church on the basketball courts in the Plaza on Saturday night).
Love and hugs from all your students to you!
