Unexpected Blessings

What an incredible full day of ministry!  Sitting here now, it feels like this day just flew by because there was so much in it.  Yet as we shared together as a team tonight highlights from the day, the biggest theme was that this has all been so REFRESHING!  We are loving our time here and the opportunities we've been given.  Our hearts are full and extremely encouraged!

This morning we got some more great time with 46 of the cutest kids in the world!  Whether it was pushing them on a swing, blowing bubbles, getting tackled, or holding babies, students have truly taken hold of this opportunity to dive in and love like crazy!

The afternoon brought with it an unexpected twist to the day - an opportunity to visit a local Secondary School (High School) and interact with the students there.  Our team put together a short "program" for the 56 students at the school.  After getting a short tour of the grounds, we were welcomed into a small classroom and given the floor to share whatever we wanted.  These students certainly made the most of the opportunity, taking time to share their drama "The Champion".  The room erupted in applause at the close and Jaylin took the time to share about the victory that we all have in Christ.  Nancy, Matt, & Kari all knocked it out of the park sharing their testimony and a word of encouragement to their Kenyan peers.  But by far, our favorite part to witness was at the close of the program when our students jumped right into interacting with the Kenyan students.  What a cool picture!  It was such a valuable and eye-opening experience to be a part of.  We love it when God shows off by creating such amazing unexpected opportunities!

As we closed out tonight in worship and sharing, we're excited for all that's still ahead.  We recognize it's really only a few days, but we're anticipating these next few days to be rich in so many ways!  We're thankful again and again for your continued prayers and we're excited to make the most of the rest of our time here.

Tomorrow we head to Salgaa to share with and encourage the women's group that meets together.  Praying that God will "fill us to the measure of all the fullness of Christ" so that we have plenty of Him to continue to pour out on others!  Thanks for praying with us!
