With breathless wonder I behold it.
Beautiful Majesty.
He fills the whole earth with light, unveiling His masterpiece,
A dazzling canopy of sun, moon, and stars.
Majestic Wonder.
He sets a longing in the hearts of man, that we might search for Him.
Restless vagabonds seeking our home.
Wandering Creation.
That as we search, we might see Him in the beauty surrounding us,
In the places and people along the journey.
Glory Beheld.
His promise to be found established before time began,
"I will be found by you," declares the LORD.
Faithful Proclamation.
A longing deep within His heart to meet with us,
Creation explodes in adoration of its Creator.
Breathless Exaltation.
That we may join in the song rising up to meet Him,
Creative, inspired, uniquely and wonderfully made,
Joyful Adoration.
One thing I'm continuing to discover as I travel the world and take in the beauty of God's incredible creation is, there are not enough adjectives in written language to describe His Majesty! I can't praise Him enough, glorify Him enough, speak enough of His goodness, His richness, His lavish gifts, and His heart for us! And I love that there truly aren't words enough to describe Him! What an awesome thing to have said about you - that there are not enough words to describe you.
I'm not a psalmist, but I love reading in Psalms. I love the visual imagery so many of them create in my mind. Today, as I went out on an early morning bike ride, with the mountain landscape and lush green trees as my backdrop, it was Psalm 65:5-66:2 that was running through my mind...
"You answer us with awesome and righteous deeds,
God our Savior, the hope of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest seas,
who formed the mountains by your power, having armed yourself with strength,
who stilled the roaring of the seas, the roaring of the waves, and the turmoil of the nations;
The whole earth is filled with awe at your wonders;
where morning dawns, where evening fades, you call forth songs of joy.
You care for the land and water it; you enrich it abundantly.
The streams of God are filled with water, to provide the people with grain,
for so you have ordained it.
You drench its furrows and level its ridges,
you soften it with showers and bless its crops.
You crown the year with your bounty, and your carts overflow with abundance.
The grasslands of the wilderness overflow; the hills are clothed with gladness.
The meadows are covered with flocks and the valleys are mantled with grain;
they shout for joy and sing.
Shout for joy to God, all the earth!
Sing the glory of His name; make His praise glorious!"
Today, I'm thankful for words that paint deep, rich pictures of the love the Father has lavished on us! May you be encouraged to echo the song of creation, to "sing the glory of His name and make His praise glorious!"
