A Year in Review

Wow...it's been a while since I've been on here! Lots of good stuff has been happening. Here's an overview of some highlights from 2010:
  • Spent 6 months training with a group of 14 students and 3 other adults for a Student Ministries IMPACT trip to Haiti (Jan.-June).
  • Saw God show up in incredible ways during our time in Haiti & was really broken for my team and the people we encountered.
  • Took a huge leap of faith back in May & applied for a year missions experience with WGM.
  • Senior High Summer Camp: DIFFERENT
  • Kicked off a new year with my small group of Senior girls - they may not be seen as the most outgoing or "up front" kind of girls, but what God is doing in their lives is awesome to see!
  • Visited my older sister out in Arizona (10 day vacation with family)
  • On vacation in Arizona, got to feed a giraffe!!! Yeah...that's a big deal to me! (coolest animal ever!)
  • September 17 - received my acceptance from WGM to go & serve in Kenya for one year!
  • "Ran" in my first ever 5K in November...wasn't a pretty sight, but it got me to slowly get back into running, so I guess it was a good thing!
  • Lion King in Chicago! Two friends took me to Chicago to see the Lion King...so AWESOME!
  • WICKED in Indy! This musical is incredible!!! If you haven't seen it, you need to!
  • Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Year's celebrations with family! I treasure the time I get to spend with all my family, all the more since I won't be around for it next year.
  • Student Ministries Winter Retreat - PVC, passion, vision, courage. (more on this later)
I know I'm leaving out a lot of moments, some may show up later. But all in all, as I look over this past year, I see God's hand all over it. There have been tough times, frustrating times, & incredible times, yet through them all, God has remained the same: Faithful!

I'm excited for and anticipating great things in 2011!
