Headed to Haiti

In less than 11 hours, our team of 14 students and 4 leaders will be meeting at the church & beginning our journey to Haiti! This is an incredible team & I'm beyond excited for what God is up to!

As we head out, the most important thing is your prayers! Here's how you can pray:

• Smooth travel - Navigating through airports, customs, etc. always has the possibility of "glitches". Pray that things would go smoothly and that any "glitches" that may come would actually be great opportunities for us to make memories as a team & grow together.
• Rest - We're meeting at 4 a.m. & students will likely not get much sleep tonight in anticipation for what tomorrow brings. Pray that we would all find times of rest both physically & spiritually.
• Teachable Spirits - I'm confident God has a lot He wants to do through our time in Haiti, both through our interaction with the people and in each of us internally. Pray that we would stay open to how He wants to move and that we would wrestle well through the things we see and experience.
• Divine Meetings - God hand-picked this team. He already planned out who would be here for this time. Pray that as we travel, God would bring people across each of our paths that He has called us to love, listen to, and share with. And pray that we would have the eyes to see these moments and the courage to obey and step out.
• Leadership - We're all young leaders. This is our first time traveling together and our first time leading together in this setting. Pray that we would have both wisdom and discernment. Pray that we would know when to lead and when to follow. Pray that we would lead with confidence and that we would allow God to do in and through us what He wants to do.
• Unity - With 18 different people on a team, we're all very different. Yet God has brought us together, each for a specific purpose. Pray that we would each "find our fit" as we minister together. Pray that as a team we would have the same heart and mind. Pray that we would encourage, laugh, grow, and play together!
• Haitians - Pray for the people of Haiti: the kids, the parents, the widows, and the orphans. Pray that God would be preparing their hearts. Pray that they would experience His love in a real and personal way...not because of anything we have done but because of what He has already done!
