Books of my Childhood

Have you ever had a "craving" to read a book? I know that sounds weird...but we have our moments of saying things like, "I'm really in the mood to watch this movie. Or, I'm in the mood to listen to this music. Or I'm really hungry for this food." So...same concept, but last night I was really in the mood to read a book I haven't picked up in years. What was it? The Boxcar Children by Gertrude Warner.

Growing up, The Chronicles of Narnia were definitely my favorite book series to read. But I must say, The Boxcar Children series (the original books by Warner from 1942-1976) were a close second.

So, last night, I stopped by the library to pick up the first book that sparked the entire series and read it cover to cover. Though it's a very simple read...it's still a great book for the imagination!

What are some of your favorite books from your childhood?
