Most Highest Praise

This morning I was reminded of what it means to give God praise. Hallelujah is a word that many of us overlook as we sing songs to God, but I'm reminded every time I hear the word of it's actual meaning, "most highest praise."

As I stood in Connection listening to the word being sung over and over again, I began to recount God's faithfulness. How often I forget who He is and all that He has done. When I recall all the times that God has proven Himself faithful, I'm embarassed by how often I've doubted Him. He has been faithful in so many ways: in my own life, in my family, in my friends, in my job, in the countless ways He's continued to provide and bring peace and rest when I am the most unsettled.

May we be a people that declares "Most Highest Praise" even in the most uncertain times. May we be a people who are faithful in giving God the praise He is worthy of.

"And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the LORD Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him." -Colossians 3:17 (NIV)
