On the edge of something...

NYGO team comes back in the next 30-45 minutes (hopefully). For those of you who've followed along closely to Derry's blog, you know that NMC Student Ministries is on the edge of something...these students are on the edge of something...

There have been so many significant movements this summer...that's right...not just moments, but movements.

PRAYER- a huge "theme" out of IMPACT, where students truly felt challenged and called to amp up their prayer lives & expect to see God do the impossible & truly miraculous!

BROKENNESS- based on the updates coming from NYGO, I'd say this team has been challenged in a very real way in the area of being broken for people. They've just spent 9 days giving absolutely all they've got to simply love people. They've been totally spent as far as energy goes, but they've still managed to give it all to God, for His glory!


So, prayer = asking & expecting God to work

brokenness = recognizing that we can't do it alone, relying on God to work, caring so much for others that we simply desire to show them God's love, not just tell them about it

prayer + brokenness = change, growth, awakening


God's up to something...this is only the tip of the iceberg. Let's continue to pray with expectancy. Let's continue to pray that God will stir up our hearts, challenge each of us, & show us what our next step is...and then, let's be obedient to follow Him.

Continue to be praying for the IMPACT & NYGO Teams, that they would keep wrestling through all that God has been challenging them on.
